TORRANCE, CALIF. – iCRco, a global innovator in medical-imaging products, today announced that it will now offer a new and enhanced AirDRc wired DR panel. The company has made a number of improvements and added many features to elevate the panel, while keeping it one of the most cost-effective digital radiography options available. Unique features abound for the enriched AirDRc panel. It is a 17″ x 17″ cassette-sized detector that provides integrated Automatic Exposure Detection (AED) and Automatic Calibration Management (ACM) which provides zero on-site image calibration at the point of install. The panel is generator-free and the productivity is increased exponentially thanks to image display times of two to five seconds. The detector is powered by the practitioner’s choice of Cesium Iodide (CsI) or newly improved Gadox (GoS) scintillator, which is a next-generation technology that boasts increased levels of performance from a special form and composition of gadolinium, providing results that yield optimal dose and image quality.
“We are very excited to introduce many new and advanced features for this exciting new product.” said, Jason Trump Digital Radiography (DR) Product Manager for iCRco Inc. Trump added, “The AirDRc, in its earliest development, has grown from an application-specific panel to a wide-scale solution that addresses the needs of every market using digital x-ray.”
The panel has also undergone physical changes. The detector size has been increased from a 14″ x 17″ active area to 17″ by 17″, making it the largest effective imaging area available. This new, larger active area offers 20% more coverage. The new panel is more than a full pound lighter than the old one at 8.4 lbs. It is also thinner than the previous panel at 0.59″. iCRco has made these physical changes in order to provide the most flexible workflow available. These changes will allow for higher productivity with no detector rotation and increased ease of use for our customers.
“We expect, with our diverse offering of technology, a tremendous push into the wired DR market in 2014.” said, Trump. “We have a proven product, backed by years of product development, that allows us to offer a full-range of solutions that meet customer expectation in today’s competitive market.”
