AirDR™ is Cleared for U.S. Market

TORRANCE, CA, February 1 — iCRco, a worldwide leader in medical-imaging products, has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance for its AirDR™ digital radiography (DR) panel and is now excepting orders from healthcare organizations. European healthcare organizations are also placing orders as it has received approvals from the medical device regulatory agencies in those regions too. The AirDR was first introduced at the 2012 Radiologic Society of North America (RSNA) conference and has since earned user interest worldwide.

Jared Houk, iCRco’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, says, “We expect the AirDR will exceed the expectations of the market with its advanced features that introduce advantages in workflow, image quality, and patient outcomes. We are excited to see where the market leans with the introduction of this next-generation DR panel. The AirDR is the lightest cassette-sized wireless detector on the market weighing in at 6lbs. It has embedded wireless technology to enhance the overall experience of direct workflow in a variety of imaging environments. ”

He adds, “Our dealers can now offer a wider range of advanced imaging products to meet the needs of their customers, all from a single brand they’ve trusted and relied on for over 20 years,” says Houk. “During the next few months iCRco will focus its efforts on extensive training of our sales and dealer network. This will allow our customers to leverage multiple levels of service and support for the products to ensure their successful implementation. ”

AirDR displays images in three-seconds, it features auto-detection, generator interface options and it seamlessly integrates into multi room-configurations. The battery life is amazing and you can store images internally as an added value for on-the-go image transfers in a non–Wi-Fi environment. Mr. Houk added “Since iCRco’s inception we’ve manufactured quality, innovation, and value into each of our imaging solutions. AirDR fits nicely into our line of great solutions and it’s supported by advanced touch screen acquisition software.”

XC acquisition software was first launched in early 2012 and has redefined the user experience of iCRco’s imaging solutions. XC is a patient-centric application that ties into all of iCRco’s hardware and software. XC introduces improved processing algorithms, powerful manipulations tools with fewer screens for faster, more accurate diagnosis.
